Palliative Pain & Symptom Management
Consultation Service.
The standardized curriculum is

throughout Ontario.

Volunteer Care to Share Support
Meetings
Volunteer Care to Share Support
meetings are set to begin again in
March 2008. These meetings provide
volunteers an opportunity to meet
and share their volunteer
experiences, challenges or concerns
in regards to working with clients
and their families. Meetings are
facilitated by the Coordinators of
Volunteers and are open to all
Durham Hospice volunteers whether
you are currently matched with a
client or not. Meetings will be
offered at both the Whitby and
Uxbridge locations and volunteers
are welcome to attend either
meeting.

Bereavement Training Sessions

Criteria: To qualify for this advanced training, participants must have completed 30 hours of palliative care volunteer training, be a Durham Hospice Volunteer for at least one year and have been matched with at least one palliative client.

Training Opportunities

do our best to update our site regularly with this
information - but please call us if you are interested
in finding out more.
If you are already a
volunteer with us, you are always welcome to join in the
Volunteer Training Program ~ for all 10 sessions or just
for one that you feel you need a refresher in.
Other refresher and continuing education programs are
currently being planned! Stay tuned for the
exciting line up!
